award

Premio de Artesania 2022

2nd prize in the category of inovation + design

The unique piece 'Krekovic Stool' was honored with the local craft prize by the Consell de Mallorca in 2022. This piece blends traditional craftsmanship, architectural elements, and local aesthetics into a modern, functional design. The seat's woven pattern draws inspiration from the architectural features of Palma's Krekovic Park, situated near our studio. Specifically, the geometric shapes of the park's portal influenced the seat's design, translating these forms into a woven surface that echoes various patterns and lines found throughout the park. Beyond the portal, elements such as the pergola, fences, obelisks, benches, and trees contributed to the stool's aesthetic. Notably, the shifting shadows observed around the pergola throughout the day also played a role in creating this piece.
